Team Leader Planning and Scheduling Projects & Turnarounds
The role and its responsibilities
The scope of the role encompasses four (petro)chemical/energy plants, two of which are High Hazard and two of which are Low Hazard. You report to the Manager P&T and assume responsibility for a number of activities:
Projects & Turnarounds
Your core task is to create detailed job plans/work packages and schedules for the safe and efficient execution of all P&T. This includes assessments in the field. You manage the work order backlog. You also develop or copy the work order job plan, clearly documenting the required skill crafts, duration, materials, specialty tools and necessary equipment.
Further, you prepare an overview of work permit requirements, advise on process modifications and/or modifications of existing operation, and provide input for the kitting process.
Safety is central to all our operations and a key aspect of the role is to perform optimized safety leadership through the active application of the Stop Principle and by engaging in constructive (safety) dialogue with peers and employees on the shop floor. This involves strict compliance and adherence to AkzoNobel’s Life Saving rules.
At all times you aim to deliver functional excellence in local codes/standards, total productive maintenance, manufacturing support, problem solving and BBS. This includes compliance with applicable AkzoNobel policies, guidelines, work processes, methodologies, working methods and systems. In particular you pro-actively advocate and proper 5S on the shop floor.
AkzoNobel operates a determined continuous improvement policy and you continuously drive and execute project and turnaround process improvements to increase overall effectiveness and efficiency. Within this process you update library job plans for the efficient and improved execution of future jobs.
As an inspiring and involved leader you lead, coach, appraise and develop Planners and Schedulers in the team, holding them accountable for delivery and supporting mutually agreed development needs.
You also act as a focal point for the representation of Planning/Scheduling and advise on the appropriate skill and capability mix of planners across the function.
Job requirements / Candidate profile
To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
- HBO level education and one to five years of relevant experience;
- Deep knowledge of electrical equipment and instrumentation or rotating and static equipment;
- Deep knowledge of project and/or maintenance execution as well as planning;
- You have managed teams of less than five people;
- Good communication skills including fluent written and spoken Dutch and English.
